The “double first-class” construction policy is an educational in China for building the world first-class universities and disciplines. research objective of this paper to verify effect policy. Propensity Score Matching–Difference Differences (PSM–DID) method was employed gauge academic influence PSM–DID a metering specifically used analyze effectiveness determine whether impact has significant statistical significance. panel data, covering years 2016–2020, derived from 122 United States, indicating experimental control respectively. results show that promotes international Chinese universities, but promotion not sustainable.
